The 28 Day
Paper Flow Challenge
"I took the Paper Flow challenge and feel fantastic. Each day I was
given some simple instructions and tips and watched my paper jungle
unravel into a simple, amazing system that really works. I was
prompted to make some decisions along the way that makes it my
system, not someone else’s." Belynda, Montmorency VIC

What people are
saying about the challenge:
Hi. I've been
struggling through masses of paper work (including that of my
recently deceased in-laws) on my own until I came across your
article in the local paper. Since then I've been happily working
through your book at a pace that I can handle & with immediate
positive results. I especially like your little rules like keep
paper verticle-my daughter often nags me about that one! The other
major benefit is that I know there's always a helping hand available
through you guys!
Regards, Sandra
Have really
enjoyed reading the book and have been putting it into practice
both at work and home. My e-mail is sorted and my project and
recurring files are going very well at home. Things do not seem
as daunting when they are organized! Will have to start going
through those piles next…
I REALLY love how
there is a day of the week on the recurring action files – I am
now using that both for my paper and electronic files and it
really works – what a great idea

I’ve
just moved into a new property and my favourite area in this
home is the action station I have set up. It is located by
the front door, has my inbox, step files (for recurring
action items), receipts box and the beginnings of my other
reference and project files. Having it near the front door
is liberating as I can leave and take items as I come in and
out of the house. As well as being functional I have added a
few personal touches so it looks great too and makes me want
to better manage my paperflow. Who knew that being organised
could be so much fun?

What people are
saying about the challenge:
I love this system!
The idea of unique folders for recurring tasks is just plain
genius... everything used to live all jumbled up together in a
humongously overflowing "to do" folder. That was overwhelming!

A big thanks
for the book it is really excellent, my copy is now heavily
highlighted and 'post it' noted. You use a really
appropriate tone for the writing style and the summaries
(cruise control) and coloured boxes are really useful. The
ideas are really pretty simple but i was never able to come
up with them by myself! And the 28 day challenge is a great
way to progress things along.
They really
should teach this sort of stuff at Uni. I spent my whole
career not knowing how to handle paper etc. and could have
been so so so much more productive if I had that under
control!
I became
a big advocate for your system and book, but some people
started to look at me a little strangely. I think its a
little like when you talk about a diet and no-one (other
than another dieter) is really interested.
Thanks Mel
Thank-you so much for writing this book! I have found
it easy to use and feel very positive about staying on
top of my paper work FOREVER! I understand now that I
was lacking in skills/knowledge and the failure of
previous attempts to be organized was a result of this
skills deficit rather than flaws in my character! I am
also excited to be able to pass on these skills to my
daughter, so that she may never feel the oppressive
weight of disorganized paperwork and its consequences.
